Master of Divinity (M.Div)
Prerequisites: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program at Christian Bible Institute & Seminary provides advanced, comprehensive training for individuals called to serve in pastoral leadership, preaching, teaching, and counseling ministries. This program integrates theological depth, biblical interpretation, pastoral care, and ministerial leadership. Students will be equipped to effectively lead congregations, communicate biblical truth, provide spiritual counseling, and defend the faith in a modern context. The M.Div. serves as a terminal professional degree for ministry practitioners or as preparation for doctoral studies in theology, ministry, or counseling.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to: Articulate sound biblical and theological doctrines consistent with Christian orthodoxy. Apply principles of biblical hermeneutics in sermon preparation and teaching. Demonstrate effective leadership within church and ministry settings.
Integrate ethical and pastoral sensitivity into counseling and decision-making. Produce a capstone project or thesis that reflects academic excellence and ministry application.

Each student will be assigned an academic advisor to help him or her throughout this program.

A total of 51 semester hours are required, with a minimum of thirty semester hours from CBIS. A 2.5 GPA is required on a scale of 4.0. Each course is worth 3 semester hours, except the Thesis / Capstone Project which is 6 semester hours. Textbooks Included.
